Wavy Hair Tutorial In Between Washes

Over the years, I’ve been washing my hair less and less throughout the week. Between my day-to-day schedule, workouts, and travel, I’m always on the hunt for a pick me up when my hair is in need of some TLC (which is kind of all the time…HA!). I’ve always had fine hair and will forever crave that effortless wavy look with all the volume.

I typically let my hair air dry straight out of the shower and once it is dry, I apply dry shampoo to assist with any oil that will build up over the next few days. I recently discovered Waterl<ss, a haircare company developed to serve a diverse range of hair types while also saving water between washes. I'm all about this! During the testing phase of the products, there was a real-time crisis happening in Cape Town, South Africa in January of 2018. The city of 4 million announced that they were three months away from running out of water. Waterl<ss was there to provide options for all of the in between washes moments and beyond. This helped as many people as possible to still have clean and bright hair without the use of water.

I've been using the Waterl<ss Dry Shampoo (which has no residue) and the Dry Conditioner, both paraben and sulfate free. I had never tried a dry conditioner, and I LOVE this one so much. It truly feels like a real wash when my styling is all said and done. With that being said, I'm super excited to share my go-to loose waves tutorial!

I do want to note that my hair is on day three in these photos! I love to start out by refreshing my roots with the Waterl<ss Dry Shampoo before I begin styling. Since there's no residue, this is perfect for that extra lift when I'm using my flat iron.

I've been using a flat iron to curl my hair for a couple of years, and I love how the wavy look lasts a couple days before I need any touching up. First, I section off a piece of hair, put it through the iron, and twist it as I move down. I alternate directions as I move around my head for a more natural look. I typically don't curl every single piece (especially underneath) because I find it looks and feels wavier and less curly this way.

The next step is to shake it out! I find that letting the waves cool off and settle a little bit before shaking it out helps the style to last longer. Then I apply the Waterl<ss Dry Conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling super soft and I love the fresh scent.

This is my go-to 10 minute routine when I need a quick refresh during the week. It not only saves a ton of time when I'm heading out the door, but it saves water and leaves me feeling super clean. Coming from someone who has fine hair, this means everything!
